Camp HiLo was created to give Type 1 Diabetic youth ages 8-17 the chance to connect with others who understand the ups and downs of living with diabetes. At Camp HiLo, we’re a community that understands the emotions and challenges that come with T1D, and we’re here to support each other every step of the way.

Our summer camp offers all the fun of a traditional summer camp while also providing a safe and supportive environment. Our experienced counselors and medical staff are dedicated to ensuring that every camper has a great experience while also receiving the proper medical care and support they need. With fun activities, delicious food and a focus on diabetes management education, Camp HiLo is the perfect place for youth with T1D to feel like they belong.

“I love being able to meet other people with diabetes, it’s kinda like meeting extended family. I also loved to play beach volleyball with everyone, making crafts and getting hennas and the parties on Thursday! I loved having the late night snack then crashing at the end of the day. I couldn’t wait to leave and go home at the beginning of the week, but didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. I’m so grateful I get to see everyone for a whole week of the year!!”
